Published Saturday September 12 2015

In the margins of a ministerial conference on fair working conditions held in Stockholm on 10/11 September 2015, the Luxembourg Presidency had invited to a briefing for Heads of mission of the EU member States, in the premises of the Embassy of the Netherlands. Ambassadors heard presentations by Ylva Johansson, the Swedish Minister for Labour, Nicolas Schmit, the Luxembourg Minister for Labour and Employment and Lodewijk Asscher, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Social Affairs and Employment of the Netherlands and had the opportunity for a straightforward and substantial discussion on labour market issues in a EU-wide context, including on workers’ safety and, above all, the fight against social dumping and the legislative and regulatory frameworks which either existed or needed to be updated or even created in order to ensure fair working conditions for all in all EU member States.
